Participation in the competition is conditioned upon:
- Completing and submitting the online Registration Form;
- Submitting a school certificate issued by the educational institution where the student is currently attending high school, or presenting an up-to-date Student ID Card, or the High School Diploma (if you have already graduated from high school, you must also fill out a Declaration Form).
- Registrations for the competition can be submitted until March 23, 2025.
The competition will take place on March 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering, located at Fântânele Street, no. 30, Cluj-Napoca.
- Registrations are done exclusively online through the Registration Form.
- Candidates must be at the venue on the day of the competition, starting at 11:45 AM.
- The organizers will verify the identity of the candidates (a photo ID must be presented).
- Out of the 4 subjects proposed in the competition’s syllabus, candidates must choose 2 subjects of their preference.
Topics (RO) - For each subject, 15 questions will be formulated, with varying levels of difficulty and different score (5 questions worth 4 points each and 10 questions worth 3 points each)
Sample questions (RO) - The quiz contains a total of 30 multiple-choice questions.
- During the competition, pocket calculators are allowed for any necessary calculations. However, using mobile phones (even for calculator applications) is strictly prohibited.
- The maximum score for the competition is 100 points.
- 10 questions x 4 points + 20 questions x 3 points = 40 + 60 = 100
- The competition results are quantified on a maximum score of 100 points.
- The minimum score required to be eligible for places allocated for the competition is 80 points.
- High school graduates with a Baccalaureate diploma who score at least 80 points in the Enviro Pass competition will be declared admitted with an average grade of 10.00, within the limits of the allocated enrollment places, regardless of their average grade at the baccalaureate exam
- High school graduates with a Baccalaureate diploma who score less than 80 points in the competition may use their points (converted into a grade) obtained in the Enviro Pass competition for admission to the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering based on the following formula:AA = AB + (EP * 0.1)
Where:
- AA – Admission average
- AB – Average grade at the baccalaureate exam
- EP – Enviro Pass competition grade
Note: The admission average cannot exceed a grade of 10.00.
The number of places allocated for each specialization will be determined later by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering, based on the number of budgeted places assigned to the faculty.
Since the number of budgeted places allocated by the Ministry for the academic year 2025–2026 will not yet be known at the time of the competition, the following criteria will be used to determine the number of places available for the ENVIRO PASS competition:
- The number of budgeted places allocated to our faculty in the previous academic year.
- The number of candidates who scored over 80 points. Places will be allocated in descending order based on the scores obtained and the number of available places. Therefore, not all candidates scoring at least 80 points may be admitted.
When determining the number of places allocated for the ENVIRO PASS competition for each specialization, it will also be considered that some of the total places will be reserved for the July admission session. Consequently, not all places allocated to the faculty can be occupied through the ENVIRO PASS competition.
Candidates will be ranked, within the limits as mentioned earlier, in descending order of the scores obtained and based on their preferences for specializations, as follows:
- Environmental Science (Romanian line of study)
- Environmental Management and Audit (Romanian line of study)
- Environmental Engineering (Romanian line of study)
or - Environmental Science (Hungarian line of study) in Cluj-Napoca
- Environmental Science (Hungarian line of study) at the Sfântu Gheorghe Extension
Note: The competition will be conducted in Hungarian for candidates opting for the Hungarian line of study.
- Obtaining the Baccalaureate diploma in the June 2025 session (or in a previous year);
- Register online during the registration period in July and follow all the required steps in accordance with the Admission Calendar.
